God is a perfect being who is devoid of any weakness and dependency, i.e all powerful and knowing ; similarly it can be just, merciful, sacred, truth, at the same time ; but yet its not dependent on those attributes . Greatest sin in Islam is associating partners with God.
So why human needs kids, obviously we have lot of weakness, we want to be loved , form relationship, continue our lineage , want some one to take care when we grow old .
So God cannot have son because its not dependent on any need and not share an iota of interference in any of its decision other wise its not God because than it will not be perfect and independent?
So Jesus is neither a God or Son of God, or does not in any way affect God decision or bring salvation, he can obviously Pray ( like all other Prophets did and seek Gods help)
Son is a loose term used in Bible, it could be a translation thing from Greek or that is how God want to refer to its prophet; also I am not a Scholar in any ways but simple search reveal
Adam was named Son in Bible “Luke began this genealogy with Jesus (Luke 3:23), and now ends it with Adam, the first human being (Genesis 2:7). In keeping with the pattern of Luke's genealogy, Adam is said to be the "son" of God, as he had no earthly parents.”
David, Psalm 89:20 ,27 NASB “I have found David My servant;With My holy oil I have anointed him,27 “I also shall make him My firstborn, The highest of the kings of the earth.
Also making Jesus son of God goes against logic and rationality, what is the point of sending so many Prophet to teach Monotheism before Jesus and how their salvation would be determined, if God is all powerful why it needs to sacrifice its son .

His focus was on certain people, so though God has given him miracle, he do not wanted to help a Canan lady , but since she was bothering , disciple pushed Jesus to sort it out than he again said I am only entitled to only certain people. It was not his mission to preach to whole world, same pattern is followed in every Prophet before Jesus ; they were meant for a time, society and nation
Paul mainly is the cause that opened up Christianity to Genitals ; and than again he added lot of concept which are not part of Original message
