why do you belief this ? could it be that to make the economy works and find another enemy to make the military industrial complex work it was orchestrated; FYI US has participated in more than 100 coups , 100 military conflicts , and i guess has more than 700 military bases ; and its belief to make a living by selling weapons, starting conflicts and unrest, and make the oligarch rich while the common man suffer. ( after cold war the empire needs an enemy and middle east become that ground)

Another counter narrative to your theory of no belief, there is lot of narcissist , racists, oligarch who want to retain the status quo and have people fight each other; and they are very sure about what they are doing with no second guesses.

What we have as opposing force to that wrong belief; a strong moral ethical man; who is more aware of its responsibilities and who consider this earth as a place which it own and make a sincere effort to improve it for every one who it share it with rather than being romantic about itself.

This moral man need lot of certainty to what is expected of it rather than floating in a sea of ideas.
