sorry, but do not agree to your understanding , was reading another brother ( on similar topic , so thought to share) https://medium.com/@zohaibazfar/the-need-for-ahadith-within-shariah-2abe8460dbef and would argue that Quran ask it follower to study life of Prophet Muhammad PBUH ( which cannot be done without studying hadith and sunnah) , like these below
“Whoever obeys the messenger then indeed he has obeyed Allah”(4:80)[17]
“Indeed in the Messenger of Allah[ﷺ] is an excellent example”(33:21)
“Indeed you are a truly [a man of] outstanding character”(68:4)
Similarly, Quran says to love the prophet and follow him ( which requires one to study his life)
“Tell them, [O Moḥammad], “If you love God, then follow me, [thereafter] God will love you and forgive you.” (Qurʾān: 3:31)
But no! By your Lord, they will never be ˹true˺ believers until they accept you ˹O Prophet˺ as the judge in their disputes, and find no resistance within themselves against your decision and submit wholeheartedly. 4:65
