Love holds the world together
--
Love, a strong abstract word; a word that holds a lot of emotions and feelings; a lot of Ah movements. It could be associated with somebody we missed or lost whom we dream of spending another moment with; it brings memories that we cherish and that we hold dear.
Love is something not thought to us, it is a feeling we feel every day, observe around us, and share every day and something we are all in need of.
it’s a fuel that makes us move to do things, which we might not like; it makes us passionate to change something, to fight for something; and at the same time giving back purpose and meaning to our actions.
Love can be found in every creature, we observe how animal protects their vulnerable young one and how humans care for their families and loved ones, goes to the extreme, and it manifests in different shapes and forms like love for a country, tribe, one’s own desires which can make someone blind to its actions.
Have we wondered how much God loves us even without asking what he provides, it’s the one who gave us chance after chance to return back to its majesty; by sometimes putting us in difficult situations or sometimes in abundance. If we start writing the things it depends on you to read this article in detail, we might not be able to comprehend.
Yet how forgetful we are how unthankful. In reality, we are just a speck of dust in the grand cosmos but our ego projects us to be like mountains; why you cannot be humble show gratitude, and love the creator as it’s the only worthy of it? And use that same generosity to love other human beings and the planet which we call earth.
In Sufi lore, it is said that once Rabia Basri, a great Sufi woman of 2nd century Hijrah (8th century CE) was carrying a bucket of water in one hand and a burning torch in the other. When people saw her, they asked, “O! Rabia, why are you carrying this bucket of water and the burning torch?” She replied that she wanted to set fire to paradise with the torch and put out the hellfire with the bucket of water so that people do not worship Allah out of greed for paradise or fear of hell, but out of pure love.
Only true love can save us from the divisions we have created ourselves and boxes we have grown into and the colonies that we have progressed into. There is a constant fight between left and right, people of color vs others, people living in a piece of land (country) vs the other. Let’s try to make peace with everything and love everything in lieu of how the creator demands, and in turn, find a right and balanced path.
Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah Almighty says: Whoever comes with a good deed will have the reward of ten like it and even more. Whoever comes with an evil deed will be recompensed for one evil deed like it or he will be forgiven. Whoever draws close to Me by the length of a hand, I will draw close to him by the length of an arm. Whoever draws close to Me the by the length of an arm, I will draw close to him by the length of a fathom. Whoever comes to Me walking, I will come to him running. Whoever meets Me with enough sins to fill the earth, not associating any partners with Me, I will meet him with as much forgiveness.”
So, what are you waiting just ask, just think about the One and you will hear the answer.
Do you know anyone who is available all the time, waiting to love you more than you can love back; without any return, without any paybacks? If not, then the Creator's love for the created is called a true love story.
