I guess you are missing the big elephant in the room, Christian Evangelicals, since most of them believe, that for the second coming of Jesus greater Israel is a must, which means more land and Jews to come back. (this also ties the knot to the Jewish belief of Messiah, mostly secular do not hold this dear to their heart though but ruling party support does) ; than these groups are well used by War machinery for their own purposes
