I can hear your pain but some of the conclusion you have drawn are same as what Islam teaches

1) do not divide people ( families, friends)

2) do not use religion to derive own benefits

3) do not pick one part of religion and leave other

4) take care of yourselves ( by avoiding bad substances drug alchol,.. ) be aware , take care of your parents , neighbor's, weak in society , orphans, ..

5) freedom of humanity from other humans and their own desires ( by submitting your will to Allah)

6) Helping any one you see bring oppressed

7) Make your leader accountable

8) Enjoins Good , Forbid Evil and be patient against what may fall

Unfortunately Muslims have not learned any thing from religion , they are just Muslims because they are born Muslims and still slave , colonist mindset prevails ( in Pakistan we are still following the education system left by Brits-hers) . We need to break the orthodoxy and this slave mindset (and I think religion can help us in that regard)
