Dan, In my opinion its not a simple conflict between Hamas and Israel, it root goes very deep and have lots of aspects, is short ( in my opinion) Jews are being scapegoated again based on idea of safety and security in believing Zionism is good for them while its the same Colonization idea that US and Europe and also driven by Christian Evengleical beliefs

for e.g large chunk of Christian belief that Israel needs to be great again for Jesus to arrive and they have popularized the idea through books and movies ( they vote and push congress)
