Quran 59:19 And be not like those who forgot Allāh, so He made them forget themselves. Those are the defiantly disobedient.

as a theist ( Muslim) most of these meta physical question do not bother the believers. Faith help answer most of them

couple of things wanted to add though, problem is we are trying to find answer to every thing through materialistic senses; humans are a perfect mix of body and soul ( similarly there are more entities) , progress of science has made blinded us to a fact that there is another realm that exist which cannot be attained by magnifying the lenses of materialism

one last thing wanted to point; please also read the life and work of Muslim philosophers/historians/scientist ( golden period of Islam) they also have lot to offer to the debate , ( i do not have any academic background in social science/philosophy etc ) but my observation is western history/academia is built on the foundation that civilization started in Greek , and than Rome and than renaissance happen; as if there is nothing in between who contribute to the thought, knowledge and history ; of course Buddha and Confucius live in the east that is given some respect but other than that most of the other personalities are ignored
